Project Title: Online child custody overnight & calendaring application
OVERVIEW:
I am looking for a developer to create an online child custody overnight and calendaring application. The application should focus on scheduling and calculation of total overnights for both parents for calendar years.
Key Features:
- Overnight scheduling: The application should allow parents to schedule and manage overnight stays for their child/children. The results will be shown graphically (see example mock ups)
- Individuals will be able to select preselected schedules from
EQUAL PARENTING TIME schedule alternating between parents:
- Every Other Week (7 overnights)
- 5 - 2 - 2 - 5 overnights (5 overnights, 2 overnights, 2 overnights, 5 overnights)
- 4 - 3 - 3 - 4 overnights (4 overnights, 3 overnights, 3 overnights, 4 overnights)
- 3 - 2 - 2 - 3 overnights (3 overnights, 2 overnights, 2 overnights, 3 overnights)
DIVIDED PARENTING TIME
-- Every Weekend
-- Every Other Weekend
-- Specific Weekends
--- The weekend control will be able to select the weekend start / end time (could be any day of the week)
LONG DISTANCE PARENTING PLAN
-- Will allow the ability to select
-- Summer Start Time for one parent
-- Summer End Time for that parent
-- Specific holidays (spring break, floating weekends, etc)
CUSTOMIZE PARENTING TIME
- There will be a function that will allow customization of the overnights by a check-box. When the checkbox is selected, clicking on specific dates once allows for parent 1; clicking twice changes that overnight to parent 2.
- Ability to put in specific dates (e.g., Birthdays) that go to one parent, or alternate on even/odd years. I will mock this up once core functionality is developed.
HOLIDAY SCHEDULE DROP DOWN
- There will be a function to allow for the selection of specific US specific holidays to alternate between parents. Not shown in mockup. I will mock this up once core functionality is developed.
DATABASE COMPATIBILITY
- I want all the above to be put into a string that can be saved into a database and saved for future use and can be passed to Full Calendar to automatically populate it. You don't have to work on the database functionality, but I do want the string feature.
PRINTING
- Full Calendar allows for printing of the schedulle. I want this to be printable.
Platform:
- This will be a web based application. If it can work on a mobile, that's a bonus, but not necessary for this.
- This will use the FulLCalendar javascript library from https://fullcalendar.io
- This will use the Multi-Month Stack functionality from FullCalendar. I will purchase FullCalendar when the project is complete. You may use FulLCalendar free of charge for development.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Ability to use jQuery, FullCalendar
- Proficiency in designing user-friendly interfaces for mobile devices.
- I prefer someone who understands the purpose of this application and is fully proficient in the english language. In your proposal, please explain in your own words what you understand of this proposal.
