We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Freelance Illustrator and Designer to join our team on a contractual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating original, eye-catching invitation card designs that will captivate our audience and enhance our brand identity. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about design, has a flair for creativity, and is looking to showcase their skills on a dynamic platform.
Responsibilities:
Design 60 original invitation cards monthly, ensuring each design is unique, appealing, and tailored to a diverse range of themes and occasions.No copyright images or stock images to be used as this will be commercially used.
Create designs that are layered and editable, allowing for easy customization by our site users. (Similar to canva). Any experience posting original templates in canva or other similar site preferred.
Work closely to understand design requirements and incorporate feedback to refine designs as needed.
Ensure all designs are optimized for digital use and can be easily integrated into our website as templates for user creation.
Stay abreast of current design trends and techniques to ensure that our offerings remain fresh and relevant.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Illustrator and Designer, with a portfolio showcasing original designs, particularly in the realm of invitation cards or similar projects.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design software, with the ability to produce layered and editable files.
Excellent creative and conceptual skills, with a keen eye for detail, color, and typography.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
Terms of Engagement:
This is a freelance, contractual position for an initial period of 3 months, with the potential for extension based on performance.
The selected designer will be required to deliver 60 original designs each month.
Compensation will be based on a fixed rate per design, to be discussed and agreed upon before commencement of work.
