Modern School Logo With Symbols

I’m commissioning a new logo for our school that feels fresh yet rooted in classic academic tradition. The mark must pair our full name with the tagline and centre on a clean, unmistakable book icon—this visual speaks best to our mission, much more than a mortarboard or light-bulb motif. I prefer the character and formality of serif typography, so please choose a typeface that conveys heritage while still reading crisply on screen and in print.
Colour is open, but the palette should look at home in the education sector, maintain strong contrast for legibility, and reproduce faithfully across stationery, signage, and digital channels. Present two or three distinct directions so we can immediately see what resonates.

• Layouts: horizontal, stacked, and square
• A concise usage sheet detailing colour values (HEX / RGB / CMYK) and the exact typefaces selected
