Modern Art Photo Book Layout
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I’m looking for someone to help me turn my art gallery into a book. All photographs and written descriptions are already finished. What’s missing is a thoughtful, modern-minimalist layout that lets the images breathe on the page.
I also need someone with excellent English—someone who can take my existing text, fit it gracefully onto each page, and gently edit it so that every spread stays within 200 words max, without losing meaning or tone.
This will be a hardcover art book, and I want each spread to feel clean, balanced, and ready for archival printing.
What I need from you:
A complete interior design built in Adobe InDesign (or comparable software) with a minimalist aesthetic—ample white space, restrained typography, no clutter.
Smart sequencing of roughly 60 high-resolution images with their accompanying text so each photo-caption pair sits naturally together.
Editing and fitting the existing text so it flows well and stays within 200 words per page.
Consistent styles for titles, captions, and page numbers, with careful attention to margins, bleed, and gutter so the final PDF is press-ready (CMYK, 300 dpi).
Front matter (title page, acknowledgments) and back matter (colophon, image credits) in the same visual language.
Deliverables: a print-ready PDF with crop marks and bleeds, packaged source files, and a low-res proof for review. Two revision rounds included.
I’ll share a Dropbox folder with all images and text. If you’ve designed art catalogues or photo books for print, I’d love to see examples of your work and start shaping this book together.
