Localize Forex Training Manual -- 2
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have an English-language forex training manual that now needs to speak directly to Hong Kong students. The task goes beyond word-for-word translation; I want the concepts, charts, examples and any culturally sensitive references adapted so they feel natural to someone reading in Hong Kong’s written style of Traditional Chinese and thinking in a Cantonese learning context.
The source file is roughly 18,000 words laid out in an illustrated PDF with embedded charts. I will provide the original InDesign package and a clean Word export. Your job is to deliver a fully localized version that:
• Preserves technical forex terminology yet swaps in region-specific brokerage practices, currency pair examples (e.g., HKD-linked scenarios) and trading hours relevant to HKT.
• Redraws or edits any graphics that contain English text so the visuals and labels match the new copy.
• Keeps the existing pagination so my lesson plans and page references remain intact.
Deliverables
1. Final Traditional Chinese (HK) InDesign package mirroring the original layout.
2. A proof-read PDF ready for print and e-distribution.
3. A bilingual glossary (EN ⇄ TC) of forex terms used, for future updates.
If you have handled finance or forex localization before, especially for Hong Kong or Macau audiences, please share a sample. I am looking to award quickly and will be available to answer clarification questions throughout the process.
