Landscape Design

Job ID: 37120486

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

We are seeking an experienced landscape designer to create a harmonious and captivating outdoor space that draws inspiration from Japanese, Thai, and Balinese aesthetics. The project involves transforming the backyard into a multi-functional area that includes an entertainment zone with seating, a smoker BBQ, and a wood-fired pizza oven. Additionally, the design should incorporate an outdoor sauna discreetly positioned beside the house, surrounded by lush greenery.

Design Elements:

Japanese Influence:
Integrate Japanese design elements, such as Zen gardens, clean lines, and minimalistic plant arrangements. Incorporate serene water features like a small pond or water basin. The use of rocks, gravel, and carefully selected plants should create a sense of tranquility.

Thai Inspiration:
Infuse Thai design principles through the use of vibrant tropical plants, decorative sculptures, and possibly a pergola with Thai-style roofing. Consider incorporating Thai-inspired textiles or patterns in cushions and outdoor accessories.

Balinese Touch:
Capture the essence of Balinese design with lush foliage, tropical flowers, and traditional stone or wood carvings. Integrate a "Bale," a Balinese-style pavilion, to serve as a shaded relaxation area.

Entertainment Area:
Design a spacious and functional entertainment zone that accommodates seating for gatherings and outdoor dining. Include a dedicated space for a smoker BBQ and a wood-fired pizza oven, ensuring seamless integration with the overall design.

Outdoor Sauna:
Position the outdoor sauna discreetly to the side of the house. Surround the sauna with carefully selected plantings that offer privacy and a sense of enclosure. Ensure that the sauna area complements the overall theme and aesthetic of the landscape.

Greenery:
Create a diverse plant palette that includes a mix of indigenous plants and those native to the design influences. Focus on using plants that thrive in the local climate and require minimal maintenance. Strategic placement of trees, shrubs, and ground cover will contribute to the desired atmosphere.

Materials and Finishes:
Select materials that align with the chosen design styles, such as natural stone, bamboo, wood, and decorative tiles. The materials should not only enhance the aesthetic but also withstand outdoor conditions.
