Kids F1 Activity Journal Design
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I’m putting together a Formula 1-themed journal aimed at 7- to 10-year-olds and need a creative partner to bring it to life. The vision is a bright, engaging, print-ready book that mixes quick, kid-friendly facts about the sport with space for personal reflection and creativity.
Content & tone
• Every spread should balance information—fun facts about famous races, records, quirky track details—with interactive elements that keep the reader moving their pencil or crayons.
• Drawing and colouring pages are a must, so think outlines of cars, helmets or podium scenes ready to be coloured in.
• Writing prompts should invite kids to predict race outcomes, design their own team livery, or describe how they’d celebrate a win.
I have all my contents done.
Structure
I’m picturing roughly 40–50 interior pages plus a vibrant cover, but I’m flexible if you have a stronger page plan. Page order should flow in a loop: short fact, activity, reflection, repeat—so the learning never feels like homework.
Design requirements
• Bold, easy-to-read fonts and generous white space.
• CMYK, 300 dpi, bleed and margin lines for print-on-demand.
• Original illustrations only; no stock images that carry extended licences.
Deliverables
- Editable source file (InDesign or Illustrator preferred)
- Print-ready PDF
- A quick thumbnail overview so I can confirm flow before you finalise artwork
I’ll handle final printing, but I want to approve each batch of pages before sign-off. If you love motorsport, understand what grabs a child’s attention, and can keep the visuals energetic without clutter, let’s talk timelines and milestone checkpoints.
