Innovative Book Design & Layout
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
I am writing a book in an unusual format. I need two things:
1. Create an editable version of the attached sample book cover (Green background #26a65b with white same title and italic black sub-subtitle as shown in the attached photo) to also include 9 floating keywords as part of the green background:
a. Grey or teal text or transparent (whatever looks best)
b. Maybe diagonal/random placement of words or maybe standard horizontal placement (whatever looks best)
c. These background words should be clearly visible as part of the background, but not too prominent to detract the eye from the main title and subtitle (i.e. part of the green background)
2. I want the inside pages of the book divided into 2 independent columns (write freely into each column separately), with 2 templates delivered:
1. 2 Plain columns with Page Header above
2. 2 Plain columns with space above at the top for plain text (no columns there)
Inside the columns I want to present text in the form of a back and forth conversation displayed exactly like a WhatsApp conversation:
i. One character’s words/messages on one side / the other character’s messages in the other column, in descending order (i.e. each alternating message(s) below the last message(s) with appropriate gaps in between on each side)
ii. Each portion of text in the columns should be displayed inside a rectangular bubble object, just like WhatsApp displays individual text messages on the App:
a. Rectangular object with curved corners
b. Green Background (#26a65b) + White Text
c. Text aligned automatically to align/justify correctly inside the bubble, ideally with a bubble object that expands according to the length of text
3. Rest of page white
I am a beginner so I am currently using Word (I can also print to PDF after) so it would be great to have the templates in Word, but if that's not possible then another format I can use/download for free or buy cheaply (TBD).
The most important thing to receive from you are templates that I can use and edit efficiently for writing, with the least time wasted on style editing and formatting etc:
1. A finished product for the book cover where I can just the words and decide which background keywords in which location.
2. A writing template for the inside pages where I can copy & paste text automatically into the word bubbles, or at least where I can easily format the pasted text into those object bubbles as efficiently as possible afterwards (i.e. as automated a process as possible with the least amount of time spent on that…)
