Information Guide PDF - 48-hour turn-around
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
Hi,
This project is to create our Information Guide.
THE BACKSTORY: This document was being produced inhouse, but after 6 months of not finishing, we don’t think it’s ever going to get to completion. So, we’re here to get your help.
We’re a creative team, in the creative marketing space, notorious for that sort of thing. If you take on the task, you’ll enjoy working with us. We’re easy to work with, and we’ll give you creative freedom.
Now, regarding the project, we’ve found a style of design (another document), in portrait format, that we love, it’s simple and lays out the text well. We'd like to follow that style for this product guide. I’ll add an attachment with this project with a link to that document, so you can check it out – you’ll see it’s clean and crisp..
Our guide is around 25 pages, let’s say up to 30 depending on how its laid out. It’s almost all text which works with this design style and there is a group of six images that need to be included in one particular section.
We will supply the text in Word format, a collection of images, and direction on colours etc, and the rest will be up to you.
You will need to
- Design - Utilise page layouts provided, or adapt as required (or design new ones if you like)
- Curate other elements, like icons, or background images, if you want to add them to the design
- Lay out the content, add images, and link the hyperlinks (these are in one section, there are 7 text links)
It’s ok if the finished pages are laid out with the same structure as the original document (no need to reinvent the wheel), so long as you don't use any images that belong to someone else.
We think the content is generally a good fit to the design. But, there will definitely be some pages where the content wont work as it is, so there’s going to be some layouts to rework.
Now,
we respect that you know graphics better than us, so you can feel free to change things, if you feel it works out better – in any way you like. We're just trying to end up with a document that portrays capability, like the supplied document does.
Now the kicker is the timeline. It needs to be finished and delivered within 48 hours, from when the project is accepted.
So, please only take it on if you can get it done.
Please allow for one revision in your project submission and costing. It probably wont be required, but it'll be better for us both.
You see, I will be around some of the time to answer questions, but not 24/7.
So, if you run into a roadblock, or have a question holding you up, we want you to make make a decision, and keep going.
You can make whatever decisions you feel are right: If you think one page should be made into two, or vice versa, go for it. If I leave off half the sentence, feel free to finish it or remove it or keep going as is. Whichever you decide is fine. If it's not what we had in mind, well, that's our problem...not yours :-)
If this project goes well – outcome is good, and communication is good, you'll be invited to additional projects also.
So that there’s no confusion, I'll be going through the applications approximately three hours after posting. And, I'll be looking for the genuine ones, ie that aren't autogenerated within 30 seconds of posting.
Thanks all. See you, my friend. D
