Icon/Symbol Design for Potential Card Game

Job ID: 32770883

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I'm currently working on a potential card game that I believe could be something special, and have been working to polish and refine certain aspects of it. Each card will have symbols/icons on them which denote their cost (what the player needs to spend in order to play the card). Currently there are 6 kinds of supplies, each distinct from each other, which the player will use to play the cards.

I have the basic idea of what I want each symbol to look like but lack the specific polish in order to make them look professional. Each supply should be distinct from each other, both in color and by the symbol. The symbols should be able to be easily read and understood from a distance and when shrunk to a small size (0.165 inches on the card). I've created a few beta designs for the symbols, but they lack polish and structure. Each of these designs will be attached as files below.

Each design should convey key aspects when seeing them:
Ritual [Red] - Represents blood, sacrifice, and death. My idea is for it to look like a blood droplet.
Personnel [Orange] - Represents power in numbers, overwhelming odds. My idea was to make it look like a silhouette of a prisoner, though admittedly it currently looks like a bathroom sign...
Power [Yellow] - Represents energy, fuel, lightning, machinery, and volatile electricity. It should represent a bolt of lightning, but should remain distinct from the design of the Pokémon electric type symbol (Let's try to avoid a lawsuit).
Formation [Green] - Represents organization, military power, and order. I currently have it represented as a crosshair, but it doesn't feel distinct enough. I don't have any particular idea for this one, so feel free to get creative.
Research [Cyan/Blue] - Represents study, experimentation, and learning. My idea was for it to look like a beaker that scientists use.
Facility [Purple] - Represents defense, containment, security, and structure.

Particular notes:
I would like the background colors to all remain as they are. While I tried to come up with ideas to represent each supply, my attempts at designs are not set in stone or final in the slightest.
The card game is not a fantasy or medieval genre; It is horror, set in a modern realistic setting. If possible, avoiding using things like shields, swords, and magic.

While I am in the very early stages of production (basically just in the idea stage) these symbols and designs will hopefully be used for a future commercial product one day. Know they are expected to be involved and used in commercial products (like a trading card game).

Please inform me if you have any questions, comments, and so on. Thank you for your time.
