Proposal: Formatting & Design of The Science and Art of Herbalism – Print-Ready Booklets
Project Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented designer and formatter to transform an herbal education course into a professionally formatted, print-ready series of booklets. This project involves converting approximately 10–12 individual lessons—each about 100 pages in length—from Microsoft Word documents into beautifully designed PDFs, ready for print and digital distribution.
Scope of Work
Format each lesson into a visually engaging and user-friendly booklet layout


Incorporate provided images, match to the appropriate sections of each lesson


Ensure consistency in design across all lessons, including fonts, headings, spacing, and margins


Create a cohesive style that reflects the heart and spirit of Rosemary Gladstar’s approach to herbal education


Prepare final files for both print and digital (PDF) use


Collaborate with our team to refine formatting, image placement, and visual hierarchy as needed


Deliverables
10–12 professionally formatted lesson booklets (approx. 100 pages each)


Print-ready and screen-friendly PDFs for each lesson


Editable source files (InDesign, Affinity Publisher, or similar)


Qualifications
Strong portfolio in book or booklet formatting, ideally educational materials


Familiarity with herbal education, plant-based wellness, or natural health topics preferred


Proficiency in Adobe InDesign or comparable publishing software


Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a long-term, multi-part project
