Heartwarming Motherhood Comic Creation

I’m commissioning a short comic that follows a new mother through the tidal wave of emotions, hormones, and life-changing moments that arrive with her first child. The whole piece needs to read like a warm hug—inviting, sincere, gently funny—and it should look grounded in reality. Think expressive, realistic artwork that captures tired eyes, tiny fingers, late-night feedings, and the quiet triumphs that make it all worthwhile.

Story focus
• Single, continuous narrative told entirely from the mother’s perspective.
• Tone stays heart-warming; moments of light humor are welcome but never slip into parody.
• Key scenes should naturally weave in simple science: oxytocin surges during skin-to-skin contact, the way sleep deprivation fogs thinking, how the brain rewires around bonding, etc. These facts must feel organic—part of the mother’s inner monologue rather than textbook inserts.

Scope & length
I’m picturing roughly 24–32 full-color pages (including cover), but I’m open to your page-count recommendation if it serves pacing and emotional impact.

Deliverables
1. Complete script and storyboard for approval before final art begins.
2. Final line art and full-color illustrations in a realistic style, 300 dpi CMYK ready for print.
3. Layered source files (PSD or Clip Studio) plus flattened PDF for press.
4. A short note explaining each science reference so I can add a back-page glossary if desired.

Acceptance criteria
• Every page advances the mother’s emotional arc; no filler.
• Scientific points are accurate yet digestible for a non-medical reader.
• Visual continuity (character design, lighting, palette) remains consistent from first to last panel.

Timing
Once we lock the storyboard, I’d like the finished comic within six weeks, sending batches for feedback along the way.
