I’ve finished the draft of a 33-chapter teen-fantasy novel and now I want every chapter to open with a standalone Heartstopper-inspired illustration, plus a captivating cover that sets the tone from the very first glance. Altogether I need 34 pieces:
• 1 full-bleed cover illustration
• 33 chapter images—one per chapter, sized for print and ebook
Tone & style
Think Alice Oseman’s clean lines and expressive panels, but dialed toward an epic, adventurous feel rather than slice-of-life. The art should capture sweeping landscapes, moments of high stakes, and tender character beats in equal measure so the visual journey grows with the story.
Reference material
I’ll provide rough sketches and written notes for the main cast, as well as short scene prompts for each chapter. You’ll refine the character look, ensure visual consistency, and choose palettes that keep the world vibrant without overshadowing the text.
Scope of work
1. Review my sketches and chapter summaries.
2. Create a cohesive style guide (palette, line weight, character sheets).
3. Produce the 33 interior illustrations—final, high-resolution PNG or TIFF.
4. Design the cover artwork, leaving safe zones for title and author text.
5. Supply layered source files (PSD, Clip Studio, or Procreate) for future resizing.
What I’m looking for
• Proven experience with graphic-novel or webtoon art
• Ability to handle fantasy settings—armor, creatures, and big vistas
• Clear communication and openness to one round of revisions per piece
