Job Description: Graphic Design and Illustrator for Book Cover

We are seeking a highly creative and skilled graphic design and illustrator to create a book cover for a book about foster care. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of book cover designs and a passion for storytelling through visual media.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the book's author and publisher to understand the theme and tone of the book and create a cover that accurately represents its content
Research and gather inspiration for the cover design
Create multiple design concepts and present them to the author and publisher for feedback
Incorporate feedback and iterate on the design until it is finalized
Prepare the final design files for printing according to the publisher's specifications
Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field
2+ years of professional experience in graphic design, with a focus on book cover design
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
A strong portfolio of book cover designs and other graphic design work
Preferred Skills:

Experience working with illustrations and creating original artwork
Familiarity with print production processes and design for print
Experience working with authors and publishers
A passion for storytelling and the ability to create visually compelling designs that capture the essence of a book's content
