Freelance Graphic Designer

Meridian Strategies is a full-service public affairs and political consulting firm based in New York City. We work with candidates and organizations in the tri-state area to create their own brands, with consistent and innovative visuals across their websites, social media and print collateral. Our clients range from labor unions to NY State Senate and Congressional candidates, as well as a host of private clients.

We are looking for freelance graphic designers that can collaborate with us to create the following:
- Direct Mailers
- Flyers
- Posters
- Business Cards
- Logos
- Social Media Graphics and Ads (Facebook/Instagram display and banner ads)

Payment can be on a per hour or per project basis, with a pay rate commensurate with experience and quality of work product. While this position is currently freelance, we may offer full-time employment with a salary and benefits commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of graphic design principles and the creative process
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with an eye for detail
- Able to quickly adapt to new processes
- Demonstrates experience and success in producing thoughtful and compelling design concepts for a broad range of projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in political mail or direct mail environment
- Previous print-house experience
