Expert UI Designer to Lead Visual Redesign of Client-Facing Financial Web App

Job ID: 39508666

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

Project Overview:
We are looking for a senior-level UI Designer to take the lead in elevating the visual design of our existing client-facing web application. The core product is built and in use — your role will be to refine, modernize, and professionalize the interface, ensuring it reflects the quality and sophistication our clients expect.

You’ll have significant ownership in driving the visual direction, proposing design improvements, and creating a top-tier experience. This is a high-impact project, and we’re looking for someone who brings both vision and precision.

About the Application:
A web-based, client-facing application used by financial professionals.
Provides dashboards, analytics, and reporting.
Currently stable and functional, with decent design. We are looking for someone to take it to the next level.

Built with a React frontend; internal dev team will implement your designs
Desktop-first design; used in professional and enterprise environments

What You'll Do:
Conduct a visual/UI audit of the current application.
Take ownership of the overall visual redesign and design direction.
Propose a modernized UI aesthetic that enhances clarity, usability, and professionalism.
Redesign high-priority screens and components (tables, charts, filters, modals, etc.).
Deliver clean, production-ready designs in Figma (or your preferred tool).
Optionally, define a UI component system or lightweight design guide for future scalability.
Work closely with our team for handoff and implementation guidance.

Deliverables:
Redesigned UI mockups for ~10 key screens.
A visual refresh or complete design overhaul, depending on final direction.
Figma (or equivalent) files with clear organization and specifications

Optional: design system or component library

Ideal Candidate:
10+ years of experience in UI design, especially for SaaS or financial tools.
Strong portfolio with examples of clean, modern, enterprise-grade UI.
Comfortable leading the design process, not just executing on instructions.
Strong understanding of UX principles, even though this is a UI-focused role.
Able to work with existing constraints and improve what's already built.

Bonus: Familiarity with front-end tech like React, Tailwind, or component-based systems

Timeline & Budget:
Start: ASAP
Timeline: ~3–5 weeks, part-time
Budget: Open to expert-level proposals; fixed or hourly arrangements possible
