To be considered for this role, you must be happy with the below points:
- You will be onboarded to our team and must use our systems, tools and processes to complete your work. This Includes (all supplied by us and use is taught during onboarding):
--Using our Company supplied email account
--Teams for communications
--Our SharePoint for any files that you create
--ClickUp for task execution (and time entry)
-You will not be using code anywhere. (Seriously, no HTML, CSS or PHP anywhere). No child themes and no custom CSS especially (our backend team will handle any bespoke functionality
-You will be available with high quality internet, good webcam and good headset capability during your working hours
-You will work exclusively for us (we have full-time work available and require that you commit full-time and get rest when not working for us. Part-time while closing out existing projects is OK for the first few weeks)
-You will have a video interview prior to being selected for the role
-You will not be able to claim attribution for any of the work that you complete (you cannot use it for your UpWork or other platform portfolios, and definitely cannot list it on your own website)
-You must be the one that completes the work. We don't want to work with agencies, or Companies with a team. We want to interview the person we'll be working with and know they are the one completing the work.
If you're still reading, that's great news! Let's discuss what the job involves. You will work as a website developer, building sites in WordPress using Elementor with Hello Theme and our standard stack of plugins including:
-Gravity Forms
-Elementor Addons as appropriate for the project (Ultimate Addons, Premium addons and others)
-Yoast SEO
-WP Rocket
-Other plugins required to achieve client requirements
We work on a variety of websites including podcast platforms, ecommerce sites, sites with many and varied features. You will be expected to review the functionality of plugins and configure them to achieve the client requirements.
You need to be familiar with setting up global colours, fonts and elements within Elementor/Hello Theme and creating Headers, Footers, Product pages, etc. within the guidelines of those tools.
You will also be required to undertake routine maintenance on client websites including:
-Creating a staging version of the website using Kinsta
-Completing updates
-Testing if there are any errors
-Using ManageWP to complete updates on live site
We also document everything we do for our clients, so your English must be exceptional and you must be prepared to write about what you have done as part of every task execution. We use a number of task templates also, and you must be prepared to contribute to our templates and update templates as you work through the tasks.
We are happy to work with people that don't have experience using tools like ManageWP, ClickUp and Kinsta. We will show you how to use these tools as required.
As a minimum you must have the following experience:
-Extensive experience working with Elementor (Pro) and related addons
-Great eye for design
-Exceptionally detail oriented
-Genuine desire to deliver above and beyond client expectations/requirements
-Exceptional English skills
Bonus points go to anyone who has any of the below:
-SEO knowledge/experience
-Experience using Kinsta
-Experience using ManageWP
-Ability to create stunning website designs as a mock-up (psd/Figma,etc)
-Experience implementing performance optmisation techniques
-Experience with booking systems, ecommerce, or other advanced website features
