Detailed Botanical Illustrations - Plate Style
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I'm in need of a talented illustrator to create a series of 24 botanical scientific illustrations. The style I'm aiming for is detailed and in the format of plates (if you are unsure of this style please use Google). These illustrations will be used for educational purposes as well as potentially for prints, so attention to detail is crucial.
Key Tasks:
- Create 24 botanical illustrations (the species names will be communicated to the awarded freelancer)
- Detailed work - every element should be clearly and meticulously represented
- Provide both colour and line variants for each illustration including labelled and unlabelled versions of both (Garamond Font) in .ai, .jpg and .png formats with appropriate transparencies included.
- The illustrations should adhere to the plate style typically found in scientific illustrations
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in detailed illustration, particularly botanical or scientific
- Proficiency in creating both colour and line art
- Understanding of plate style illustration
- Ability to work independently and efficiently is a great plus
- Experience in educational illustration is an advantage
