Invisible Letters TASKS
Perform one, more or all of the following tasks:
Design a poster that communicates to your inner self and/or unconscious alone using image/sign synthesis.
Find ingenious ways to force the legibility of existing typeface to its utmost limits to see how the tension might result in new ways of designing and arranging a letter shape and then express them in a compositional frame underlined by a subject-matter/theme/concept of your own choice.
Design a brand-new alphabet (with completely new sign/image letter shapes) with the same old phonemes and write a poem you had chosen in that alphabet of yours
Think of fantastic vocal sound or any kind of natural or artificial sound that has no equivalence in the alphabet; name them and design them in new letter forms you invent and then express them in a composition.
- Note that you are strongly advised to do at least two of them if you are a design student; choosing only one could be seen as an option for non-design dept. students. However even they could do more than one or two or all.
ELABORATION REQUIREMENTS
• The technique and materials you will use for the finished project are any form of electronic media plus A3 artboard i.e. poster, video, multi-media, motion graphics etc.)
