Design a family coat of arms and family crest
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Below is the prompt I used to get a start on the project with SORA (ChatGPT). Attached is what it produced. Although it was close on some things, there are some glaring problems with it. I am looking for a rendering of our family coat of arms in four (4) different verions.
Highly Detailed - this will be hand drawn at high resolution with lots of detail with a more modern style similar to what was produced by Sora.
Styled to 17th century heraldry - This is the verion that will contain all of the big elements but much of the detail will drop off because it will be used for smaller images, embroidery, and letterhead, etc.
BLAZON ONLY - This is just the shield, helmet, and crest
Crest Only - Just the crest for use in signet rings, necklaces, etc.
GPT prompt and description-----------
FAMILY COAT OF ARMS
Create a family crest for the family name of JOHNSON using traditional heraldry imagery with the following description:
CREST: The crest sits stop the helmet. The crest is made with three 3-dimensional male wedding bands, with one forming the base of a triangle, and the other two rings resting on top and on each other completing the triangle shape. All three rings will be gold, and the ring on the bottom will shine similar to an old religious icon painting of a halo.
HELMET: The helmet will be an armet style displayed in a ¾ profile to the left and in silver or chrome color.
WREATH or TORSE: This should be a rope alternating between red and white in six equal parts that sits atop the helmet, and below the CREST.
SUPPORTERS: Lion and Stag are the two supporters. The lion will be the left position, and the stag will be on the right position. Have each of the standard bearers be standing on their own weighing scale plate suspended from the weigh scale balance beam which will symbolize that they are always to be kept in balance. Engrave on the plate below the lion "IUSTITIA" and engrave in the plate under the Stag write "MISERICORDIA". Have the balance beam of the scales be in front of the supporters, but hidden behind the blazon and helmet with the fulcrum of the beam is hidden behind the helmet. The fact that we see the scales but not the measurement of the beam means that although we are to keep balance and mercy in balance within our lives, we are not given the tools by the Almighty to weigh the sins of others.
MANTLING: The mantling is red, white, and blue.
MOTTO: The motto is "quia ego sum" and should be displayed in a banner below the blazon.
SHIELD: The Blazon is equally divided into four quadrants in the shape of the square ("Old French") shape. In the top left quadrant place an image of 3 old keys similar in style to those carried by Peter the apostle on old Roman statues (this symbolizes the keys of the priesthood). In the top right quadrant add an image of an oak tree in summer season and also displaying the roots (this symbolizes family ancestry and posterity). In the bottom left place an image of a spyglass and book (symbolizing discovery and learning), and lastly in the bottom right quadrant, add an image of a lighthouse. Add a representation of a “lower light” to the lighthouse image representing the importance of each person to be that “lower light” while God is represented by the big light of the light house. This lower light representation could be simply some additional sketch lines from an unseen lantern that represent the light showing.
On the shield, a very thin rendering of a castle-style parapet (running from the left edge of the shield to the right edge) should be used instead of a single line to divide the two quadrants on the top from the quadrants below symbolizing the role of defense at all times.
On the shield, a very thin rendering of an “iron rod” extending from the bottom of the shield to the top, should be used instead of a single line to diving the two right quadrants from the two left quadrants. This symbolizes the pathway provided to mankind to help us find our way back to Heavenly Father.
On the shield add an iron border around the shield with 3 rivets - One at the top left, one on the top right corner, and one at the bottom. Engrave on that iron border at the bottom write "XVIII" on the left of the bottom rivet, and on the right of the bottom rivet write "LXXXIV". Also, engrave on the iron border of the shield between the helmet (in the top center of the shield) and the top left rivet is the letters "B", "P", "M", and "A". Engrave on the iron border between the helmet (in the top center of the shield) and the top right rivet the letters, "C", "C", "E", and "M".
Add a small inescutcheon into the shield using the same shape as the shield, but the colors equal to the current logo of the Union Pacific Railroad, but do not use the words “Union Pacific”
Add two French Musketeer renaissance era rapiers with the hilts exposed at the top right and left of the shield and the tips of the same swords exposed at the bottom right and left of the shield showing that these two swords blades behind the shield.
Below the shield add an Ox laying down with the face looking straight at the audience. Add a few yellow blades of grass to represent that it is laying in a field just below the shield. Do not cover any elements of the shield. Move the banner with the words “Quia Ego Sum” further down and in the foreground near the bottom of the ox place the banner. The motto banner should cover the bottom of the ox image.
Below the motto banner write the year 1884.
