EN71-8 Convertible Therapy Swing Tech Pack -- 2

Job ID: 40074744

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

I have an early-stage concept for a convertible therapy swing and I need it transformed into a factory-ready package that satisfies the EN 71-8 safety standard. The swing will be sewn from a stretchy polyester/lycra fabric, so the pattern must take fabric rebound, load distribution and child-safety stitching into account.

Your job is to turn my sketches and usage notes into a complete tech pack and graded pattern set that any soft-goods manufacturer can follow with minimal questions. That includes:

• Full pattern files (PDF + native format) with clear grainlines, seam allowances and notches
• A detailed bill of materials listing the specified polyester/lycra blend, thread, webbing, suspension hardware and recommended strength ratings
• Assembly sequence, stitch specs and quality checkpoints mapped to EN 71-8 clauses
• Finished dimensions and tolerance tables for two size ranges (sensory cocoon and open-seat modes)
• Colour call-outs, label placement and care instructions ready for print
• Inspection checklist that a third-party lab can use for pre-shipment testing

I will supply initial sketches, target user weight range and photographs of similar swings. I’m happy to iterate twice on the pattern after your first submission to fine-tune fit and drape before we lock the files for production.

If you’ve previously prepared soft-play equipment or swings that passed EN 71-8, please mention it and point to any lab reports you can share. CAD proficiency in Optitex, Clo or similar is welcome—as long as I receive editable source files.

Looking forward to collaborating and moving this concept into the real world.
