Completing graphically designed voucher (coupon) for ready to print
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
When clients purchase vouchers (coupons) in my wine shop (usually as a gift), I need to format and print out every one singularly, and only AFTER it is purchased. This is because my cash register software releases a code, which then has to be shown on each voucher, along with the current date and the amount.
I use a design on pdf on which I overwrite manually (on a pdf editing web tool) these informations, separately for front and back face, then print it out on A4 paper and then cut it out manually as well. All this procedure takes a while and bothers me a lot, also because graphically they come out so-so, plus it makes clients wait unnecessarily. So this has to change!
The procedure has to be rationalised, I could think of two different solutions (= level of automization):
1. The cash register (installed in an iPad) sends the info automatically through an interface (which we'd have to create) to a design software (template) which designs the voucher with the predefined lay-out and sends it to the printer. So all I gotta do is put the fitting paper and press ok. An additional advantage of this procedure might be that, once an interface between cash register and design program is created, it might be useful also for online purchases of vouchers on my online store.
2. You propose a template, installed as an app/tool in the iPad. There we insert manually only the code and the amount, after a voucher is sold. The tool will imbed the info nicely into the predefined lay-out and again will send it to the printer. This option is easier, doesn't need an interface and, compared to how we handle it now, a big progress.
In any case, I would on the long run, purchase special paper and have it pre-cut in the right format of the voucher so I don't even have to cut it out anymore.
I send the design of the voucher attached. It can basically stay as it is, you'd have to do just some minor adaptations, plus on the rear side add one more design object.
Depending on your preference, opinion and skills, you might propose either of the two options or even come up with another idea which helps to facilitate issuing vouchers in my shop. I understand that the price you'll ask fo highly depends on the option you'd like to propose and I perfectly understand that a full automization by creating an interface will cost more.
