Compact Retail Space Design
Budget: $25 – $50 CAD
I work for an airline in Northern Canada.
We're a bit different from your typical airline, primarily because of the work we do and where we live. Think rugged, outdoors, nature, tough, heritage, quality and pride in our aircraft and the work we do.
I'm about to launch an e-commerce store that'll sell custom/bespoke/high-quality merchandise. Primarily apparel (shirts, sweaters, toques and hats) and some other souvenirs such as patches, stickers, tumbler/mugs and travel bags. This store will launch in late June, early July.
On top of the e-commerce store, I have two physical locations/air terminals where I want to setup small stores/kiosks.
I'm looking to work with someone that can graphically design this space. I'd like someone with a marketing/design background. As an end result, I want to be able to see what this space will look like and then work with a local company to execute.
Some things to note:
- The spaces are small and are not directly staffed. There are staff near by that'll oversee this, but this is not their primary role.
I anticipate either using existing cabinets (with some refreshing... vinyl graphic stickers/wraps?) or purchasing new cabinets.
- One location will need all items that are showcased, locked up. The other location, some items (like shirts, sweaters..etc) can be left in the open to maybe try on? Maybe hung from a wall or case mounted hangar?
-There will need to be some form of storage to house stock in either the cabinet or space.
-The focus isn't so much the cabinet/storage, but the design of the space. As mentioned, this is a small space and are small parts of a function passenger terminal. But it needs to represent a small store.
Some thoughts: - Maybe some vintage physical signs? Vinyl on the walls/cabinet?

- I've attached some pictures of one our spaces. It's within our Float Base terminal, which serves our float planes (see website for fleet specs) during the summer.
