Commanding Security Brand Logo
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
Tactical, Modern Logo Design
Overview
Design a primary brand mark for a security brand. The logo must project tactical precision, modernity, and national credibility, and perform across uniforms, vehicles, print, and digital.
Visual & Design Direction
Identity Goal: Tactical, modern, national in scope; disciplined and professional—not “combat.”
Color Palette:
Primary: Deep Navy (trust, authority)
Secondary: Slate Gray (modern neutrality)
Accent: Muted Gold or Olive (subtle sophistication / tactical readiness)
Form & Iconography:
Consider shield, compass, or radar-inspired geometric forms to signal protection, coverage, and precision.
Use clean, engineered geometry (grids, bearings, azimuth ticks) to imply order and oversight—without clutter.
Typography:
Bold, legible sans-serif; confident weight hierarchy; excellent readability at small sizes.
Avoid ornamental or overly stylized type.
Mandatory Requirements
Primary Lockup: Wordmark + symbol (horizontal).
Secondary Marks: Stacked lockup and standalone emblem (for patches/app icon/vehicle doors).
Color Modes: Full color, 1-color dark, 1-color light, grayscale.
Scalability: Clear from 16×16 px (favicon) to large format (fleet livery).
Contrast & Accessibility: Meets WCAG contrast on light and dark backgrounds.
Tone Guardrails: No cliché or aggressive “combat” visuals; keep it disciplined, modern, professional.
Deliverables
Logo Files: AI, EPS, SVG, PDF + PNG (transparent) for all variants.
Specification: Construction grid, clear-space, minimum sizes.
Color Specs: Pantone, CMYK, RGB, HEX for Navy / Slate / Gold or Olive.
Type Specs: Primary and fallback font recommendations.
Usage Guide: Do/Don’t sheet (proper/incorrect usage).
Favicon/App Icon: 16–1024 px export set.
Single-Color Patch Variant: Optimized for embroidery and vinyl.
Success Criteria
Reads instantly as modern, disciplined, and authoritative in the security space.
Distinct from generic security marks through precise geometry and clean visual systems.
Works flawlessly across uniforms, vehicles, signage, documents, and digital UI.
Remains legible and recognizable at micro and macro scales.
