Cartoonish Baby Announcement Design
Budget: $30 – $250 NZD
Hi! I'm looking for a designer to help me complete and polish a baby announcement postcard. I've been experimenting with ideas in ChatGPT and have a rough concept ready, but I need someone to bring it to life with a professional touch.
Project Details:
Format: 5x7 double-sided postcard
Purpose: To announce our baby's upcoming arrival to friends and family
Front of the Card:
A cartoon-style illustration of our dog Ziggy as the main focus
Text above his head: "Ziggy's been promoted"
A few generic dog toys around him (not too cluttered like the ChatGPT version - I don't like the toys floating in the sky)
Back of the Card:
Ziggy holding a swaddled baby in his mouth as if he was a baby-delivering stork
Text above: "to Big Brother"
Text below: "December 2025"
Swap the dog toys for some simple baby toys and maybe a nod to Christmas
Use a variety of colours so it doesn't lean to girly or masculine as we don't know the gender yet
Style Notes:
I like the cartoon style shown in the attached mock-up from ChatGPT
A few tweaks needed:
Make sure the swaddle knot is clearly in Ziggy’s mouth (right now it looks like it's hanging on his tooth)
Avoid colors that suggest a specific gender
Reduce the number of floating toys—it looks too busy
Use a more playful, fun font
I've also included a photo of Ziggy so you can capture his big smile and personality
