Captain Chair Canine Gap Filler

I'm in need of a custom-made gap filler for my captain chair. The primary purpose of this gap filler is twofold; to level out the gap for my dogs and to provide some extra storage space. The gap filler will be used to store items for my dogs. Therefore, it should be sturdy and able to hold a decent amount of weight.
