Adventure Storybook Design for Kids -- 2

I’m ready to turn an adventure tale for 4- to 7-year-olds into a fully designed picture book and I’d like a creative partner to handle the visual side. The story draft is in place; what I need now are mixed-media illustrations that balance playful hand-drawn lines with digital polish, along with a neat page layout and an eye-catching cover.

Here’s what the project looks like from my end:
• Rough manuscript: 1,000–1,200 words, broken into spreads.
• Final deliverables: press-ready PDF, web preview PDF and layered source files (PSD or AI).
• Page count: roughly 28–32 interior pages plus front and back cover.
• Trim size is still flexible, so feel free to suggest a format that suits your art style.
• Colour profile: CMYK for print, RGB export for online sharing.

I’ll provide the text, pagination guide and any reference sketches I have. You’ll create the illustrations, place the text, add playful typography where it helps the flow, and handle basic pre-press tasks such as bleed and safe margins.

I’m happiest when communication is quick and clear, so keep me in the loop with rough thumbnails, coloured drafts and one final proof before sign-off. If you’ve handled children’s titles before, please share links or low-res samples so I can see how you capture a young reader’s imagination.
