I need a grant write for the STEM program
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Good afternoon,
Being retired I have a passion to help elevate the STEM aviation program in the central Florida area.
I’m sure you understand that the FAA has made it mandatory that commercial pilots must retire at the age of 65. Presently there is a shortage of pilots and in years to come there will be a critical shortage in the thousands, that is why "Timing is everything and there is no better time than now!"
My partner and I are the owners of Right Attitude Aviators LLC. A company for profit. I am not sure how this relates to receiving grants so we need direction. We are both certified pilots in the central Florida area and we are affiliated with one of the largest membership flight schools in the southeast with a membership above 200, having the name of "MyFlight". MyFlight is currently expanding, it has occurred to me to bring our expertise to the 9-12 grades STEM program into curriculum. I have reached out to the high schools in the area that have the STEM program and they all need improvement in the aviation arena. One of the main obstacles for the students to excel in aviation is due to high cost involving training in a FAA certified aircraft. The solution is FAA certified quality simulators which would make it affordable. Through my research in the central Florida area there are no available simulators for the STEM program except for Embry-Riddle University which is based in Daytona, Florida far away from the area and is used for their student base only.
Presently MyFlight is building aircraft hangars for its fleet of Diamond aircraft and a large office complex that will house the simulators at Apopka airport, Florida which is due for completion in June 2023. I am taking it upon myself to champion this endeavor for the STEM aviation students. Therefore I am reaching out to you for your professional guidance on how to achieve my goal.
The grant I need is only for the flight simulators at a cost of around $700,000.00 consisting of a Diamond 40 simulator which is a replica of the Diamond 40 DA NG aircraft, RedBird FMX-E with movement configured for the Diamond 40 aircraft and a twin Garmin G1000 for avionics simulation.
