Grant Writer for Animal Rescue
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Our 501(c)(3) animal rescue urgently needs an experienced grant writer who can take us from “idea” to “funded.” I do not yet have a shortlist of opportunities, so the first step will be to research and build a calendar of grant prospects that fit animal-welfare programs—government, foundation, or corporate, whichever offers the best match.
Funding priorities
• Vet care
• Spay/neuter costs
• Basic day-to-day needs (food, bedding, transport)
Once opportunities are identified, I will rely on you to craft compelling narratives, create clear budgets, and manage the submission process for each proposal. Familiarity with tools such as Grants.gov, Foundation Directory Online, GrantStation, or similar databases will help speed the research phase.
Deliverables
• Prospect list with deadlines, eligibility notes, and projected award amounts
• One polished master narrative that can be adapted per funder
• Customized applications submitted to an agreed-upon set of grants
• A brief post-submission report summarizing each application and next steps
Accepted work will be measured by the completeness of the prospect list, adherence to funder guidelines, and the professional quality of each submission. Let’s secure the resources our animals deserve.
