Grant Applications for Regional Railway Service

Job ID: 39037833

Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 AUD

We are a community based not-for-profit railway company in the Northern Rivers of NSW. We are working with another railway company and are close to gaining a licence to fix the tracks and extend a service similar to the World's First Byron Solar Train. However, we don't have sufficient funds yet to move forward with the project and we need to apply asap for grant money, which is part of the requirements from the Transport authorities.

I'm looking for a skilled grant writer preferably with experience in transportation projects, but not essential as this project has so many benefits for the whole region that a general understanding of what can be included in the grant might be all we need to gain the funding.

So, I need help to secure funding for a mixed passenger and freight railway service, primarily focused on enhancing regional connectivity.

Key project details:
- The railway service is intended to connect various towns within our NSW Northern Rivers region.
- The primary goals of this service are to improve connectivity, give access to locals and the many visitors to our region, also taking cars off the road which will help to comply with 2030 emission target goals.

Ideal skills and experience:
- Proven track record in grant writing.
- Prior experience with transportation-focused applications is a plus but not strictly required.
- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges of regional connectivity.
