Government Grant Writer for Indigenous NFP
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I manage an Indigenous-owned, not-for-profit organisation in Australia and we’re ready to apply for our first government grant. The funding will be directed toward core operational expenses—keeping staff employed, covering rent, and maintaining the day-to-day services our community relies on—rather than a one-off project. Funding also for programs and community engagement. Can be from government, private companies and anywhere. We are happy to give a percentage of grants to you as an admin charge.
Because this is new territory for us, I need a seasoned grant writer who understands Australian Government programs, can navigate portals like GrantConnect or SmartyGrants, and knows how to present a compelling case that highlights both our cultural impact and compliance readiness.
Deliverables
• A curated shortlist of current government grant opportunities that explicitly allow operational cost coverage
• A fully drafted, submission-ready application package for at least one selected grant, complete with budget tables and required attachments
• A concise hand-over guide outlining key reporting obligations so we stay on track after funds are awarded
I’ll provide organisational details, financials, and any supporting statements you need; you bring the strategy, structure, and persuasive language that wins funding. If you have a strong record of securing government grants for community organisations, I’d love to hear how you’d approach this and see examples of past successes.
