BEQ Science is a digital health startup focused on improving senior care through innovative balance monitoring and early intervention solutions. Our app helps doctors remotely monitor patients’ balance and fall risks, aiming to reduce falls, address opioid misuse, and slow neurological decline in aging populations.
What You'll Be Working On:
We are looking for an experienced grant writer to help us secure funding from federal, state, and foundation grants. You will collaborate with our CEO, product development team, and external clinical advisors to craft compelling grant proposals that highlight our innovative technology and its potential to transform senior care.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify relevant grant opportunities, including federal grants (e.g., NIH, AHRQ), private foundations (e.g., Robert Wood Johnson, PCORI), and corporate philanthropies.
Write and develop comprehensive grant proposals, including:
Concept notes
Budgets and financial plans
Study protocols and compliance documents
Submission-ready applications
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the proposals align with the funder’s priorities and showcase the impact of our technology.
Manage deadlines and coordinate multiple submissions concurrently.
Revise proposals based on reviewer feedback to improve chances of success.
Requirements:
Proven track record of securing healthcare or digital health grants (e.g., NIH, PCORI, NSF).
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into persuasive proposals.
Familiarity with R&D processes, IRB protocols, and HIPAA regulations.
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Deliverables:
A list of identified grant opportunities relevant to our app.
Completed grant proposals tailored to specific funders.
Ongoing support for revisions and submissions.
Timeline:
We are looking to begin work immediately, with initial deliverables (e.g., a list of grant opportunities and a draft proposal outline) expected within [insert timeframe, e.g., 2 weeks].
