U.S. Dept. of Energy Grant Writer
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m seeking a U.S.–based grant writer with a proven record of winning Department of Energy awards. I already have a short list of potential DOE funding calls; what I need now is your expertise transforming my technical concepts into a polished, submission-ready application.
Here’s what the engagement will cover:
• Opportunity vetting – confirm which of my shortlisted Energy Efficiency grants best fits our project goals and eligibility.
• Strategy session – shape the research narrative, milestones, and impact arguments so they align with DOE review criteria.
• Full proposal build – write every required section (abstract, technical narrative, work plan, budget justification, resumes, data-management plan, letters of support, etc.) and format them to DOE guidelines.
• Compliance check – ensure all federal forms (SF-424, SF-424A, disclosure forms) are accurate and error-free.
• Revision loop – incorporate my feedback and polish language until the application is submission-ready.
To be considered, you must:
– Reside in the United States.
– Show documented success landing DOE or comparable federal R&D grants; please share award numbers or redacted award letters.
– Understand Energy Efficiency research language and typical metrics of success (kWh savings, lifecycle cost, TRL advancement).
– Be comfortable working to tight federal deadlines and using standard grant portals (e.g., FedConnect, Grants.gov).
Timeline: I’d like to select a writer quickly, hold our kickoff call within a week, and have a complete draft ready for internal review no later than four weeks after project start.
If you’re ready to help us secure DOE funding, outline your relevant wins, approach, and any early thoughts on strengthening our Energy Efficiency angle.
