Corporate Grant Writer Needed

Job ID: 40139481

Budget: $20 – $30 NZD

Our Auckland-based foodbank has grown rapidly and now needs a dedicated writer who can secure corporate grants that keep our shelves stocked. I want someone who understands how to speak the language of New Zealand companies and align their CSR goals with our mission of getting nutritious food to families in need.

The immediate focus is funding for food acquisition: cash or in-kind product that lets us buy, rescue or bulk-purchase staple items. We already have several successful applications to draw from, so you’ll have proven narratives, budgets and impact data to reference and refine rather than starting from a blank page.

Here’s what I need from you:
• Identify and prioritise suitable corporate grant programmes or sponsorship rounds.
• Rework our existing material into tailored, persuasive proposals that meet each company’s guidelines.
• Draft any supporting documents—cover letters, budgets, outcomes frameworks—ready for submission.
• Provide clear timelines and keep me updated so applications never miss a deadline.

Familiarity with New Zealand corporates, CSR reporting trends, and grant portals (e.g., SmartyGrants) will be a plus, but solid storytelling and meticulous compliance are the real essentials.

If you’ve secured corporate funding for not-for-profits before and can jump straight into producing polished applications, I’d love to share our past proposals and get started.
