Comprehensive Grant Writing & Research Specialist for Arts non-profit

Job ID: 40537782

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

We need a skilled grant writer to work with existing grant agencies, research and secure new grant opportunities, and develop a detailed grant calendar. We are a small arts center in rural Virginia, looking for a collaborator to work with our Executive Director on grants and other proposal-related avenues of financial support.

We have two art galleries, a multipurpose event space, a full ceramics studio, and a gallery store all under one roof. We do outreach in the community, offer classes for adults and children, implement public programs for the region, do lectures, poetry readings, music events, artist talk-backs, and are developing a Humanities program. We are also involved in establishing regional and national events. A generative and creative mindset is very helpful as we are both process and deadline-focused. Potentially, this could be an ongoing relationship.

Key Responsibilities:
- Write compelling grant proposals for government, foundation, and corporate grants.
- Research and identify new grant opportunities.
- Develop a grant calendar to track deadlines and submissions.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proven success in securing grants at federal, state, and local levels.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Experience with government, foundation, and corporate grants.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.

Your expertise will help support our operations, fund new projects, and expand our current programs.

This is a part-time, hourly contract.
