Excel-GPT Inventory Automation System

I need to turn an existing inventory spreadsheet into a decision-making cockpit where all calculations and simulations run automatically in the background. The idea is simple: Excel keeps the familiar visual layer while a GPT-powered backend handles the heavy lifting.
What I want automated
• Inventory-specific calculations, with a focus on stock-level prediction and order-fulfilment optimisation.
• Simulation logic that can test different demand, lead-time, and safety-stock scenarios on-the-fly.
How I imagine the build
A clean Power Query pipeline pulls and shapes the data. Modern macros—Office Scripts, TypeScript, or VBA—then pass the prepared data to the OpenAI API. GPT analyses patterns, returns recommended reorder points and fulfilment actions, and the refreshed results flow straight into dynamic dashboards or pivot charts. All API keys must be handled securely and nothing should break when Microsoft 365 updates.
Deliverables
• A self-contained Excel workbook (or tightly-linked set) wired to GPT, ready for stock-level prediction and fulfilment advice at the press of a button.
• Well-commented code and prompt templates so we can tweak thresholds later.
• A concise user guide embedded in the file or as a short PDF.
