WordPress 404 Error Repair

Job ID: 39713145

Budget: £10 – £20 GBP

I’m currently getting “404 Not Found” errors whenever visitors try to open several pages across my WordPress site. The admin dashboard still works, but front-end links that should resolve now return the error. Flushing permalinks and basic cache clears haven’t solved it, so the fault may sit in the .htaccess rules, a plugin conflict, or a mis-routed page/post slug.

The task is straightforward yet time-sensitive: pinpoint the cause of these repeating 404s and implement a clean, lasting fix without disrupting any existing content or custom functionality. Comfort with cPanel (or similar hosting panels), FTP/SFTP, phpMyAdmin, and standard WordPress troubleshooting tools is expected so you can move quickly.

Deliverables
• Diagnose the root cause of the “404 Not Found” errors showing on multiple pages.
• Apply the corrective changes (e.g., permalink repair, .htaccess update, plugin or theme adjustment) and verify every affected URL now loads normally.
• Provide a brief summary of what was changed so I have a record for future reference.

Once the pages resolve without error and the summary is delivered, the job is done. I’d like this wrapped up today if possible.
