Shopify Site Optimization for SEO & Conversions

Job ID: 39698712

Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR

Objective

Improve site speed, navigation efficiency, and SEO performance to directly increase conversions, using only Shopify native features and minimal theme adjustments.

We will strongly positive evaluate submission that not only covers below scope of work but also make additional suggestions that might further help to improve the website.

Scope of Work

1. Technical SEO
Fix broken links (4xx) by updating or removing.
Rewrite meta titles and descriptions for all key pages where they are missing, duplicated, too short, or too long.
Ensure H1 tag consistency: one H1 per page, no duplicates; add missing H1s.
Remove unnecessary URL parameters from menus and internal links.
Correct heading hierarchy to follow H1 → H2 → H3 structure.

2. Performance Optimization
Compress all images over 100 KB using Shopify’s WebP conversion while maintaining visual quality.
Enable lazy loading for all non-critical images, videos, and iframes via theme settings.
Reduce Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and First Contentful Paint (FCP) by optimizing above-the-fold content, prioritizing visible elements, and improving load order.
Add descriptive ALT text to all images.
Prevent layout shifts (CLS) by assigning fixed dimensions to images and banners in theme settings.
Target a Lighthouse Performance Score of:
Desktop: 75+
Mobile: 60+

3. Navigation & Conversion Enhancements
Implement a slide-out cart drawer instead of a full-page cart (if supported by theme).
Enable a sticky “Add to Cart” button on mobile product detail pages to keep the CTA visible as the user scrolls.

4. Ongoing Monitoring & Maintenance
Add the Shopify Online Store Speed report to regular admin checks to monitor site speed.
Replace large mobile hero images with lighter, compressed JPG/WebP files at smaller dimensions to improve mobile load time.
Theme-Dependent Tasks (Implement if supported by our template)
Correct canonical tags for 34 URLs.
Add pagination tags (rel="next"/"prev") where needed.
Adjust robots.txt to allow crawling of valuable URLs.
Reorder hero/banner load sequence to improve LCP (if theme allows).
Minify CSS/JS beyond Shopify defaults.
Preload critical resources (fonts, main images).
Add security headers (Referrer-Policy, X-Frame-Options) if possible within Shopify.
Prevent layout shifts (CLS) by adjusting CSS where supported.

Deliverables:
Implementation of all mandatory tasks.
Feasibility assessment for theme-dependent tasks.
Post-implementation Lighthouse mobile score report.
Confirmation that SEO and performance objectives have been met.
