SEO Specialist for Google Search Console Clean-up
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
I am looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to clean up my Google Search Console and help ensure that my 80,000 WordPress pages are crawled and indexed as quickly as possible again, with a restored and healthy crawl budget.
Project background:
• Website: WordPress
• Size: ~80,000 pages
• Internal linking: very good and structured
• The website itself is technically clean and stable
Over the past two years, a lot of testing was done, which resulted in many 404 URLs still being indexed by Google.
About six months ago, the website was affected by a malware attack. During that time, thousands of spam URLs were created, such as:
• /product-tags/
• /shopping/
• many auto-generated URLs with Chinese characters
The website has since been fully cleaned and secured, but Google is still crawling these old spam and invalid URLs.
Current measures already taken:
• Many URL paths were submitted for removal via Google Search Console
• Automatic 410 (Gone) responses have been implemented via functions.php
• The site is now clean and free of malware
Main problem:
Google continues to crawl old, non-existent and spam URLs instead of focusing on my valid 80,000 pages, which significantly harms the crawl budget and slows down indexing.
Main goal:
• Stop Google from wasting crawl budget on irrelevant URLs
• Ensure Google prioritizes crawling and indexing my 80,000 valid pages as fast as possible
• Fully clean up Google Search Console issues
• Restore a strong crawl rate and crawl budget
What I am looking for:
• A true SEO technical specialist, not basic SEO
• Deep experience with:
• Google Search Console
• Crawl budget optimization
• Index management
• Large WordPress websites
• Handling hacked / spam-injected sites
• Someone who can identify all remaining issues and fix them efficiently and permanently
If you have proven experience with large-scale websites and crawl budget recovery, I am looking forward to working with you.
