Resolve AdSense Ad Serving Limitation Issues
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
HELLO! I am looking for a skilled AdSense specialist to analyze and resolve the recurring issue with ad serving limitations on my website.
Previously, I hired a freelancer and after implementing several improvements, the ads started showing again and the limitation was lifted. However, within a couple of days, the "The number of ads you can show has been limited" message came back.
Despite our efforts, no invalid traffic or malware has been detected.
1. What Freelance has (said) Already Done:
**Blocked Bot Traffic**: I have implemented IP filtering and CAPTCHA mechanisms to reduce invalid traffic sources. Traffic is now monitored and filtered using Google reCAPTCHA and Cloudflare Bot Management.
**DDoS Attack Prevention**: I have deployed Cloudflare's DDoS protection, rate limiting, and firewall rules to prevent any suspicious traffic surges that could trigger invalid clicks or impressions.
**Removed Low-Quality Ad Units**: All auto-access ads and previously high-CTR ad placements were reviewed and removed. Only compliant, user-initiated ad units remain.
**Traffic Audit and Source Filtering**: I have reviewed referral traffic in Google Analytics and blocked all suspicious sources. Only organic and direct traffic is now allowed via firewall and .htaccess rules.
**Content Quality Review**: All site content has been reviewed to ensure it meets AdSense content guidelines. No scraped or low-value content exists.
**Ads.txt File Updated**: I ensured that the `ads.txt` file is properly configured with only verified and authorized sellers.
2. Freelancer TASKS:
- Check current ad placements and recommend any changes to prevent misclicks or policy violations (especially if Auto-Ads are active).
- Ensure proper margins/paddings exist to avoid accidental clicks (above, below, beside ads). Fix the layout if needed.
- Review performance metrics using tools like (Lighthouse and GTmetrix..) to check if everything is functioning properly or if there are any critical issues affecting the site's performance. If any vital errors are identified, they need to be fixed accordingly. These kinds of performance issues can sometimes be the reason why ad limitations were imposed.
Analyze if frequent access from my own IPs (Slovenia & Italy) may be misinterpreted as invalid traffic
Check if inclusion of site links in AI bots (like ChatGPT, Claude SOnet, etc) may trigger suspicious traffic patterns
Help draft a professional AdSense appeal, based on the above actions and current setup
3. Deliverables:
- Audit report with screenshots.
- Clear recommendation on how to place ads (manual vs auto-ads)
- IP exclusion strategy (cookie method or plugin)
- robots.txt and firewall rule suggestions
- Finalized AdSense appeal letter in professional tone
**Note: my AUTO-ADS are currently shut off.**
