Homepage Speed & Performance Boost

My site’s homepage feels heavier than it should, so I want to streamline everything and lift its overall performance. The goal is simple: faster load times, smoother interactions, and no more of the small visual hiccup that pops up on the page header from time to time.

Here’s how I picture the work flowing:
• Audit the current setup with tools like Google PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse or GTmetrix to pinpoint the real bottlenecks.
• Apply best-practice fixes—caching, image optimisation, CSS/JS minification, server or CDN tweaks—until the homepage reaches a solid green score on the major testing tools and feels instantly responsive.
• Squash the minor glitch on the header section so everything renders cleanly across modern browsers and devices.

Acceptance criteria
• Homepage loads markedly faster (sub-2 s ideal) and scores 90+ on desktop / 80+ on mobile in PageSpeed.
• No layout shifts or visual artefacts when the page first appears.
• Clean console with no critical errors.
• Brief, clear changelog so I know what was done and how to maintain it.

All code, assets and notes should be delivered via a shared repo or zip—whatever suits you best—as soon as the improvements are in place and verified.
