Fix Slow WordPress Homepage
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
My WordPress homepage has started loading noticeably slower than the rest of the site. I’m looking for a WordPress performance specialist who can diagnose what’s dragging page-load speed down and apply the right optimizations without altering the site’s design or core functionality.
Key points you should know
• Only the homepage is affected; blog and product pages load fine.
• I haven’t added any new plugins or large media recently, so I suspect caching, render-blocking assets, or a server-side configuration might be the culprit.
• The goal is to bring the homepage’s first meaningful paint and overall load time down to an acceptable level on both mobile and desktop (ideally sub-2 seconds on standard speed tests such as PageSpeed Insights or GTmetrix).
Deliverables
1. Comprehensive audit pinpointing the bottlenecks (plugins, themes, CSS/JS, image weight, server settings, database calls, etc.).
2. Action plan with the exact steps you intend to take.
3. Implementation of agreed optimizations (e.g., caching layer, asset minification/concatenation, image compression, lazy-loading, database cleanup, or server tweaks).
4. Before-and-after metrics demonstrating the improvement, with screenshots or links to the test results.
5. Short hand-off note so I can maintain the improvements going forward.
Access can be provided to the WP admin dashboard and hosting panel once we agree on scope and timing. I’m happy to answer any clarifying questions. Let me know your approach and estimated turnaround so we can get the homepage back up to speed.
