SketchUp & AutoCAD Woodwork Drawings

I’m assembling a set of production-ready drawings for a range of custom woodworking pieces and would like to bring in a detail-oriented designer who is equally comfortable in SketchUp and AutoCAD. While the full scope covers TV units, doors, decorative wall cladding and a small coffee-corner concept, the portion that needs the most attention is a series of built-in wooden wardrobes and cabinets.

You would take my concept sketches and room measurements, model each unit in SketchUp for visual approval, then translate that model into fully dimensioned AutoCAD shop drawings. Accuracy is essential: every shelf, partition, hinge and pull must be called out so the joinery workshop can move straight to production without additional clarification. Experience in furniture detailing, wood joinery methods and the correct way to illustrate carcass construction will be highly valued.

Because day-to-day feedback will be in Arabic, the ability to converse in Arabic will streamline the process, but it’s not an absolute requirement if your drafting quality is exceptional.

Deliverables for each wardrobe or cabinet set
• Clean, layered SketchUp model (SKP) showing exterior and interior components
• Corresponding AutoCAD files (DWG + PDF) with plan, elevation, section and exploded details, fully dimensioned and annotated in metric
• Hardware schedule and material call-outs embedded in the drawing set
