Living Room + Kitchen Interior Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m ready to give my kitchen and the adjoining living room a cohesive, modern makeover. The space is already open-plan, so I want the new design to flow naturally between cooking, dining, and lounging zones while keeping everything clean, functional, and visually calm.
What I’m after
• Overall vibe: distinctly modern—sleek lines, minimal ornamentation, smart storage, and a touch of warmth so the rooms still feel inviting rather than stark.
• Palette: neutral tones (think layered whites, soft greys, taupe accents). I’m open to a subtle texture or muted accent if it helps add depth, but the backbone must stay neutral.
• Core materials: wood and metal. Wood should deliver warmth—light oak or walnut, depending on how it pairs with the floors—while metal can appear in fixtures, legs, or trim for a crisp edge. Glass can be secondary (doors, coffee table tops) if it serves the concept, yet the hero materials remain wood and metal.
Scope of work
1. Space planning: an optimized 2D layout that balances prep space, seating, and walkways.
2. Concept mood board: imagery and material samples illustrating the modern, neutral, wood-and-metal direction.
3. Photoreal 3D renders: at least three key angles for each room. Use SketchUp + V-Ray, 3ds Max, Lumion, or similar—whatever you’re strongest in.
4. Annotated furniture & fixtures list: specific pieces (or custom specs) with dimensions, material notes, and purchase links or fabrication drawings.
5. Lighting plan: layered ambient, task, and accent lighting compatible with the modern aesthetic.
6. Final files: editable source files (DWG, SKP, or equivalent) plus high-resolution JPEG/PNG renders.
Acceptance criteria
• Layout fits existing walls, windows, and plumbing points I’ll supply in a measured plan.
• Color palette stays within the neutral family; any accents are pre-approved.
• All visible furniture/fixtures integrate wood and/or metal in a balanced way.
• Renders accurately reflect proposed finishes and lighting.
• Deliverables arrive in the agreed formats and are ready for contractor hand-off.
