Elevate SketchUp Home Walkthrough
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
SKETCHUP MODEL ENRICHMENT + ENSCAPE WALKTHROUGH SETUP
Custom Residential Home — North Vancouver, BC
---
PROJECT OVERVIEW
I have an existing SketchUp model of a high-spec custom home currently under construction in North Vancouver, BC. The model includes accurate architectural massing, exterior geometry, pool, pool house, and partially merged interior designer CAD files. I need a skilled SketchUp modeler to enrich this model with materials, 3D furniture, and finish details, then configure it for real-time walkthrough using Enscape.
The goal is a fully navigable, photorealistic walkthrough that my family can use to make interior and exterior finish decisions — and that I can repurpose for future development projects.
---
WHAT I HAVE
- Existing SketchUp (.skp) file with full exterior and interior shell
- Architectural drawings (IFC package) for reference
- Interior designer CAD files (.dwg) — partially imported as 2D symbols, need conversion to 3D
- Confirmed exterior finish palette (detailed below)
- General interior direction (contemporary farmhouse — clean, warm, high contrast)
---
SCOPE OF WORK
1. 3D FURNITURE & INTERIOR COMPONENTS
- Replace all 2D CAD furniture symbols currently on floors with proper 3D SketchUp components
- Source models from 3D Warehouse or equivalent — no need for exact brand matches, just accurate style and scale
- Key spaces to furnish: living room, dining room, kitchen, primary bedroom, main bathrooms
- Style direction: contemporary with warm wood tones, clean lines, no ornate detailing
2. EXTERIOR MATERIALS APPLICATION
Apply the following confirmed finish palette as SketchUp materials:
Siding — Knotted cedar 1x6, semi-transparent dark charcoal (Iron Ore SW6903 tone)
Stone — Light cream/ivory random ashlar (Country Squire colourway)
Roof — Standing seam metal, Iron Ore (dark charcoal)
Windows & frames — Flat black
Soffit — Clear natural wood (hemlock)
Garage door — Flat black metal
Pool deck — Troweled concrete (light grey)
3. LANDSCAPE ENRICHMENT
- Replace placeholder green lawn with basic landscape massing
- Pool water material applied
- Driveway and hardscape zones indicated
- South boundary hedge massing added
- No need for detailed planting — just accurate massing and materials
4. ENSCAPE CONFIGURATION
- Install and configure Enscape plugin for the SketchUp file
- Set up minimum 3 saved camera views: exterior rear/pool, main living interior, exterior front
- Confirm real-time walkthrough is functional and smooth
- Deliver a brief walkthrough video (2-3 min) showing exterior and key interior spaces
- Include a short instruction note on how to navigate and make basic material changes in Enscape
---
DELIVERABLES
- Enriched .skp file with all materials and 3D furniture applied
- Enscape-ready file with saved camera views
- 2-3 minute walkthrough video rendered in Enscape
- Simple instruction note on basic navigation and material swapping
---
WHAT I DO NOT NEED
- Full photorealistic hero renders
- Highly detailed millwork or cabinetry modelling
- Structural or engineering accuracy changes
- Lighting fixture modelling
---
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Proven SketchUp + Enscape experience (please include portfolio examples with at least one Enscape walkthrough video)
- High-end residential project experience preferred
- Comfortable sourcing and importing 3D furniture components efficiently
- Strong English communication
- Fully remote — open to candidates worldwide
---
TIMELINE
2-3 weeks from file handover. Files are ready to send immediately upon hiring.
---
HOW TO APPLY
Please include:
1. Two or three examples of SketchUp + Enscape residential projects you have completed, including at least one walkthrough video
2. Fixed price and timeline estimate — break out by phase if possible (furniture, materials, Enscape setup)
3. Any questions about scope before starting
This is a well-defined scope with files ready to go. The right person can move fast and deliver a high-quality result.
