Cape Cod Addition Plan Revision

Job ID: 39823949

Budget: $250 – $750 CAD

I already have permit-ready drawings for a small house addition, but the current design feels too modern beside my main residence. I want the same footprint and structural layout, yet every visible surface should read as classic Cape Cod coastal.

Key aesthetic cues to weave in: authentic-looking shingle siding, prominent dormer windows, and trim details that let the new volume sit naturally against the existing house. Symmetry is welcome where it works, but the overriding goal is a façade that visually belongs—no jarring transitions at rooflines, wall planes, or fenestration.

Please keep the internal room layout, setback lines, and structural spans intact; the revision is purely architectural appearance. An eye for proportion, cornice profiles, and historically informed window sizes will be critical.

Deliverables (PDF + DWG or RVT, plus a few quick SketchUp or similar massing views for review):
• Updated exterior elevations and roof plan reflecting Cape Cod detailing
• Revised wall sections highlighting siding, trim, and flashing interfaces
• Window and dormer schedules with manufacturer specs or clear calling for equal-quality units
• Color sheet / material legend so my GC can price shingles, trim boards, and paint accurately

I’ll provide the original CAD file, site photos, and a board of reference images the moment we start. Prompt communication during one or two feedback rounds will help us lock this in quickly so I can submit for the final HOA approval.
