I am looking for an experienced SketchUp designer to create a 3D model and a construction-ready drawing package for a bespoke under-stairs storage unit. This is a paid trial project, but I am looking for a reliable, long-term partner as I have regular, ongoing freelance work for fitted furniture, wardrobes, and cabinetry throughout the year.Project Overview:
The project is a three-part under-stairs storage system built on a $41^\circ$ pitch line slope. It includes: Two sloped, pull-out drawer units/carcasses (heights approx. $1392\text{ mm}$ and $932\text{ mm}$, with an internal depth of $550\text{ mm}$). One tall panelled utility door on the right side ($1726\text{ mm}$ opening height). What You Will Be Given:An example PDF drawing package showing the exact style and construction expected (UNDER_STAIR-05.pdf).A revised set of site measurements and minor layout changes.Required Deliverables:Clean SketchUp (.SKP) Model: Properly grouped and layered by components (carcasses, face frames, doors, hardware).Dimensioned 2D Drawings: Fully detailed Plans, Front/Internal Elevations, and Section views suitable for a carpenter to build from on-site.Comprehensive Cut-List & Material Schedule: Detailed breakdown optimized for sheet materials (e.g., $18\text{ mm}$ MDF carcasses, $9\text{ mm}$ backs) and necessary hardware counts.Skills Required:High proficiency in SketchUp and SketchUp Layout.Strong understanding of practical UK furniture construction, joinery tolerances, scribe/filler pieces, and hardware integration (e.g., Blum/Hafele runner clearances, soft-close hinges).Crucial: You must be able to design furniture that can realistically be built by a carpenter on-site, not just pretty 3D visuals.Budget: This is a fixed-price project.
