In google sheets How can I keep all the protected ranges in the copy while using duplicate option?
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a problem. It looks like stack overflow has a solution, but I don't know enough about Google Apps Scripts to pull it off. I was wondering if someone could help me?
Basically the problem is that I have these quote templates that are google sheets for my company. Guys need to duplicate my file every time they want to make a new quote. There are a ton of formulas and guys keep accidentally erasing them, so I tried to "protect" the cells that needed protecting. However, I am finding out that it does no good, because when my employees copy/duplicate the quote template to do their quote, it moves ownership of the cell protection over to them, so they can still accidentally delete formulas, and now I am locked out from fixing it (because I am no longer the owner).
Could someone implement something into my spreadsheet so that I maintain control of protected cells for spreadsheets that my employees are duplicating?
