User-Friendly Shift Log Sheet
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m taking our agency paperless, and the first piece I need in place is a digital shift log sheet. All of the fields and headings are already mapped out; what I don’t have is a clean, intuitive form that my team can open and start using without extra training.
I’m flexible on where this lives. Google Sheets sounds convenient, but I’m open to Microsoft Excel or even a lightweight web form if that would give us better usability—feel free to suggest what you believe will work best for quick data entry and easy record-keeping.
The finished sheet should guide users with drop-downs or protected cells where appropriate, capture dates and times automatically, and look good on both desktop and mobile screens. Once you’ve built it, a short “how-to” or embedded notes will help my staff get started immediately.
Deliverables:
• Ready-to-use digital shift log sheet (Google Sheets, Excel, or simple web form—recommend and build the best fit)
• Brief user guide or inline instructions
If you’ve designed similar operational forms, I’d love to see an example. Let’s get this first step right so we can roll out more paperless tools across the agency.
