Residential Takeoff & Estimating Support

I have a steady stream of residential plans that need three things from the same set of eyes: basic quantity take-offs, rough-order estimating, and some light CAD touch-ups. You’ll be marking up the PDFs, measuring areas and lengths, logging those numbers into an Excel or Google Sheet, then turning that data into a preliminary cost breakdown I can refine with local pricing.

Because the projects are single-family and small multifamily builds, the take-offs only need to cover the fundamental quantities—no deep dive into specs or brand selections yet. Speed and consistency are more important than exhaustive detail.

I’ll supply the drawings in PDF (and DWG when available). You return:
• A worksheet listing measured quantities per plan sheet.
• A brief estimating summary that ties those quantities to unit prices (placeholders are fine; I’ll swap in final figures).
• Any CAD edits—layer clean-ups, minor wall or dimension adjustments—in the same DWG set or as a separate overlay file.

If you’re comfortable in Bluebeam, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, Kreo, H2x, LoopCAD or similar, great; just let me know what you prefer so we can stay compatible. Turnaround is typically three to five days per project, and there will be repeat work if this first run is smooth.
